Inclement Weather Policy

Concerned about inclement weather conditions?

Please know that we always trust your judgment in discerning whether to brave the elements or not. Some of us live two blocks from the church or youth facilities, others of us live 20 miles. So, no matter our policy and no matter if we cancel or not, please exercise your own discretion to come. When you are a volunteer, but can’t make it due to weather, please notify your ministry director as soon as possible so they can plan accordingly.

How to learn if FBC ministries will cancel:

Sunday mornings: It is an extremely rare occurrence for us to cancel Sunday services or Sunday school.  But in the case we do, check the website under the “RECENT NEWS” section on the home page.  We will also post cancellations of our Facebook page, so like us on Facebook to receive these notifications.

Awana/Youth ministry on Wednesday: When Medford School District cancels school or has an early release due to weather, Awana and Youth ministries will be cancelled. If school does not cancel, these ministries may still cancel due to weather based on the discretion of the ministry leaders in consultation with the pastors.  When this happens, the Medford Schools will be notified to announce that to the students. Also, check the website under the “RECENT NEWS” section on the home page or listen to 99.3FM. Also, Awana has a text notification for cancellations; email fbcmedfordawana@gmail.com to learn how to sign up.

Other FBC ministries: With other ministry events, check the church website or contact the ministry director.
