Fall Adult Sunday School: The Book of Revelation

The book of Revelation is fascinating…and confusing. The imagery grabs our attention – “And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: …”) – and it baffles us. What should we think when we read this vision that John sees? The goal of the book is not to merely satisfy our desire to know what will happen next – this would be too small a goal – but to encourage believers that God is unstoppably working out his good purposes even when it looks like Satan is winning in our families, nation, and world.

My hope is that God will do two things for us as we study Revelation together.   1) That he will increase our understanding of the Scriptures, especially how the OT and NT fit together. And 2) that he will increase our hope and joy as we wait “for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:13). Can you find yourself hoping for these same things?

Please plan to join the adults during Sunday school (9:45-10:30 am) starting Sept 11th in the Awana room at FBC.
