Each week, our youth groups take time focus on God’s Word – it’s at the center of what we do each week. Here is what each group is studying this year:
Teens involved in Ignite (7-8th grade) Youth Ministry will experience time in Scripture each week. During Wednesday night Youth Group at the CEYC, the Activate series will help Ignite Students lay the foundation of a lasting relationship with God through a study of the core concepts of their faith. This fall and early winter we will be looking to the Bible to see what God’s truth is about the Trinity, God’s glory, and salvation. We will use the Ignite Bible Reading Plan to hide God’s word in our hearts by reading through the New Testament and memorizing Bible verses that correspond to our lessons. Please pray that God would use these studies to grow His Kingdom by calling student’s hearts to fear and be in awe of their Great God.
The Elevate (9-12th grade) Youth Group’s teaching time primarily focuses on unfolding God’s plan to rescue his people through the good news of Jesus. Each week, we will look at Old and New Testament passages to see how God has woven his story of love and redemption through the Bible. Elevate students also have the opportunity after the lesson to engage in small group discussions with Elevate leaders – looking to apply what they have learned in Scripture to their daily lives.
