SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES | 8:30 AM & 10:45 AM

Colossians in Adult Sun School (Postponed)

Update: Postponed through Sunday, April 5.

A new Adult Sunday School class starts this spring. Pastor Tim will be leading us as we study the book of Colossians. This New Testament letter was written by Paul to a church in Colossae, located in modern day Turkey. Some key parts of this letter are the following

  • To encourage Christians to keep walking with Christ (“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy” Col 1:11)
  • To inspire our worship of a high view of Christ (“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation” Col 1:15)
  • To warn the church against false teaching (“See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit …” Col 2:8)
  • To instruct Christians in daily living (“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth” Col 3:2).

The book of Colossians is God’s help for us in the church in America today just as it was for the church in Colossae in the first century. The class runs March 22 through May 17 on Sundays from 9:45-10:30 AM in room 119 at FBC. No signup is required; just come with your Bible.
