Policies and Guidelines
Who
can be married at FBC?
Marriage
is a wonderful,
God-given union between a man and a woman.
Due to the glorious nature of marriage, FBC would love to
participate
with a couple to help and encourage them as they move towards a
marriage relationship. To ensure that God
is glorified and the union
is blessed by God, FBC does have policies restricting who can be
married when a
union would be displeasing to God. Please
request a copy of the Marriage Policy of FBC if you have any questions.
Officiant Guidelines
A couple may have a pastor other than those
who serve FBC to officiate their wedding provided that this individual
be
approved by the Deacon Board of FBC.
Pre-Marriage
Counseling
FBC
desires a fabulous marriage more than a fabulous wedding.
To encourage such success, FBC requires
couples to receive some sort of pre-marital counseling that is done
either by
pastors of FBC or from outside sources approved by the pastors of FBC.
Wedding
Coordinator
A
Wedding Coordinator is
included in the price of using the church, when an FBC Pastor is
officiating. Couples will be required to
meet with the FBC wedding coordinator BEFORE the rehearsal . The
wedding coordinator will
be at the rehearsal and at the wedding.
Musicians
and Sound System
Musicians,
such as a soloist and organist, are NOT
provided by FBC. A sound technician and
use of the sound system are included in the price of using the church.
