Future Mission Trips

I was recently reading 2 Corinthians and was struck by one of the things that Paul had to say regarding an earlier writing and visit to that church…“For I wrote to you out of much affliction and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to cause you pain but to let you know the abundant love that I have for you.”  Paul went through hardships and difficulties because of his “abundant love” for his Christian brothers and sisters in Corinth. He loved them enough to share difficult truths with them and to labor hard for them.

Paul’s love and hard work reminded me of what I have seen being done by First Love International.  At a recent event held by First Love, Barb and I were blessed to hear of the wonderful work the Lord has lead them to do in Europe, the Philippines, Asia, and Africa.  At that event, one of their missionaries challenged us to get in the habit of saying “yes” to God. He stated that if you say “no” to God once it gets easier to say no each time thereafter. I pray that I will be able to head that advice.  Do you?

There are a couple of mission trip opportunities in the initial planning phases for the Spring of 2017.  Please don’t dismiss this opportunity to follow God’s call.  You may have concerns such as the cost or skills required.  The one main qualification to join us is that you are able to show love through your words and actions.  Please come to the interest meeting to learn more about these trips.
